The Purple Rain Game Breeding Project takes great pride in the genetic quality of our Southern Roan breeding herds. Our Cows originate from Shelanti breeders known for the pride they take in producing animals of top genetic quality. Examples of these Cows and Calves can be viewed in the gallery below.

We acquired our latest breeding bull as a six year old at the end of 2014. He hails from New Wycombe Game Breeders and when last measured was just shy of 29”. 

Roan breeders around the country will know that there is the ever prevalent threat of Theileriosis which is endemic to, and extremely prevalent, within the Limpopo Province. Through camp rotation and intensive monitoring we have been able to reduce the impact of this disease and are proud to announce that in the 2015 calving season we have had a 100% survival rate.
